Our Mission

The Trout Unlimited mission is to conserve, protect and restore North America's trout and salmon fisheries and their watersheds.

TU accomplishes this mission on local, state and national levels with an extensive and dedicated volunteer network.  The organization has over 125,000 volunteers in 500 chapters nationwide to keep them active and involved in conservation issues.

The Candlewood Valley Chapter supports TU's mission by doing local projects for stream and river conservation and restoration. The chapter also plays an active role in our communities educating the public both in conservation and fishing interests.  Our members enjoy active camaraderie in these projects, along with joint fishing activities throughout the year.
