Next Meeting

Our final meeting before the summer break will be on Tuesday, May 13th, 7 p.m., at the Miry Brook Firehouse in Danbury, Connecticut. Join us early for fly tying demonstrations. [directions]

There will be a casting clinic prior to the meeting (weather permitting) with George Daniel. George Daniel will also discuss successful nymphing strategies used by the US National Fly Fishing Team. Among his many accomplishments, George is the 2008 US National Fly Fishing Champion and is the head coach of the 2008 US Youth Fly Fishing Team.

We look forward to seeing you all there and hearing about your great fishing adventures.

We're in the news!

Check out two great articles on the work we're doing in Dickinson Park to improve and preserve the upstream Deep Brook habitat. Also, go read the fantastic Editorial, Water and the Shape of our World, by Newtown Bee editor Curtis Clark. While we often think about cold water preservation being about fish, it's also largely about people. Curtis has a great take on this important work.
