Two-Day Fly Fishing Event on the Housatonic River

Candlewood Valley Trout Unlimited is proud to support the Reel Recovery Project (previously Project Healing Waters), an organization dedicated to helping men navigate the impact of cancer through fly fishing, fellowship, and time spent in nature.

This special two-day event will take place on the Housatonic River:

  • Thursday, July 16 — Full Day

  • Friday, July 17 — Half Day

We are currently seeking approximately 12 volunteer guides to assist participants on the water. All fishing gear will be provided for participants. Guides should bring their own wading gear and equipment.

Fishing will likely focus on smallmouth bass in the area around the Covered Bridge section of the Housatonic.

Lunch will be provided for all participants and volunteer guides on both days.

This is a rewarding opportunity to share your love of fly fishing while helping make a meaningful difference in someone’s life.

If you want to be a guide, please sign up as soon as possible if you are able to help support this incredible event.
