September Chapter Meeting

Fall Chapter Meetings are Back!

Our monthly chapter meetings are starting up again on September 14th, at Edmond Town Hall in Newtown. We will meet in-person at 7:00 pm for pizza and beverages and our monthly raffle. The meeting will proceed at 7:30 with a presentation from long time member Joe Hovious. For those who can’t attend we will also broadcast the meeting via Zoom (see link below).

For our September meeting Joe will be guiding us on a trip to far northern Ontario on the Sutton River, "the world's best brook trout river". During the trip we will float from the river's origin in Hawley Lake, 85 miles north to the mouth in Polar Bear Provincial Park on Hudson Bay.

Joe is a long time (30+ years) member of the Candlewood Chapter and has been active in Chapter Board and in conservation projects. He has been active in TU since the early 70"s when he helped start the first chapter in West Virginia. Joe says he has wasted a significant amount of time, money, and life force running around and chasing fish. His wife is in full agreement!

You won’t want to miss this first meeting of the fall. If you have any questions, please reach out to secretary@cvtu.org.
