Toss on your ugliest holiday sweater and join us for a fun winter tradition on the Farmington River!

A fun, and silly way to usher in the holiday season, our annual Ugly Sweater trip to the Farmington with the Candlewood Valley Chapter is always a festive affair.

We'll meet at 10 a.m. at UpCountry Sportfishing, then head out on the water to fish. A warming station with fire, hot chocolate, coffee and snacks will be open and running at the People's State Park pavilion at Matthies Grove around noon.

Whether you swing by to say hi and flaunt your ugliest outfit, stop to fish for a few hours, or stay the entire time, you're welcome to join us whether you are a TU member or not. Family, kids and beginner anglers welcome - we can even lend gear to those who need to borrow it!
